The Col du Chasseral is a mountain pass ( 1502 m above sea level ) in the Swiss Jura and connects the towns of Saint-Imier and Nods , both in the canton of Bern , with a road over the mountain range of the same name. A spur road leads from the top of the pass to the highest point of the Chasseral ( 1,607 m above sea level ).
The upper area of the road was operated by an Alpine Path Cooperative until the end of 2006 and was therefore subject to a charge. At the beginning of 2007, this section of the canton of Bern was added to the network of canton roads and is now freely accessible.
