The Hilferenpass ( Hilferepass ) is a 1291 m high mule pass between the communities of Flühli and Escholzmatt-Marbach in Entlebuch in the canton of Lucerne . The mule track is paved from Flühli to Egghütte .

The Hilferen moorland lies on the pass . It is the headwaters of the Hilfere , one of the two headwaters of the Ilfis .
