The Col de Chésery is a 1995 m above sea level. M. high Saumpass over the Alps . The border between France and Switzerland runs at the top of the pass . The Saumpass connects Avoriaz ( 1832 m above sea level ) in the commune of Morzine and Montriond in France with Champoussin ( 1597 m ) in the commune of Val-d'Illiez and the Val de Morgins in the canton of Valais in Switzerland. The Refuge de Chésery is located on the Swiss side of the pass at Lac Vert .
