The Chräzerenpass is a mule track in the Swiss Alps . It connects the Urnäsch valley in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden with the Obertoggenburg in the canton of St. Gallen .
Before the Schwägalp pass road and the Schwägalp – Säntis aerial cableway were built in 1935 , there was only the mule track between the two valleys over the somewhat shorter and deeper Chräzeren pass. It is located around one kilometer west of the Schwägalp Pass and a footpath via Sägen (Nesslau) to Grossgarten (Urnäsch).
A hike leads from Schwägalp over the Chräzerenz Pass to the Ofenloch , the “Grand Canyon of Eastern Switzerland”, and to Ennetbühl in Toggenburg.
