The Luteren is a 10.4 km long right tributary of the Thur in Obertoggenburg in the Swiss canton of St. Gallen .

The Luteren flows through the area of ​​the municipality of Nesslau . It rises on the alpine meadows and raised bogs between the Schwägalp on the Säntis and the Risipass on the Stockberg. It flows through the Seeben, past the Rietbad and Ennetbühl, through Nesslau- Neu St. Johann , where it flows into the Thur.
