The Col des Étroits is a pass in the Swiss canton of Vaud . From the pass at 1152 m above sea level. M. three roads lead to Sainte-Croix and Yverdon in the southeast, to Fleurier in the northeast and to the French communities La Cluse-et-Mijoux and Pontarlier in the west.

Lock point Col des Étroits

From July 1936, a blocking point of Border Brigade 1 , consisting of several bunkers and tank traps , was set up on the pass to secure the Swiss western border . It is part of the long line of bunkers in front of St. Croix. The fortifications were classified as a blocking point of national importance after their abandonment in the 1990s.
