Bobby Cannavale
Robert Michael "Bobby" Cannavale (born May 3, 1970 in Union City , New Jersey ) is an American actor .
Career
In Germany he is best known for his role in the drama series Third Watch - Einsatz am Limit , where he played the role of paramedic Bobby Caffey in the first two seasons (1999-2001) . But since his role lost importance over time, Cannavale decided to leave the series, whereupon Caffey died the series death . Cannavale then made several guest appearances on Ally McBeal (2002) and in the prison series Oz - Hell Behind Bars (2003). He also played a leading role in the mafia saga Kingpin (2003) and also a guest role in the fourth season of Six Feet Under .
In 2004 he played the macho but gay dance student Chic in the dance film May I ask? alongside Richard Gere and Jennifer Lopez . From 2004 to 2005 he starred in the comedy series Will & Grace as the recurring character Vincent , for which he also received an Emmy for Best Guest Actor in a Comedy in 2005 . In the series Cold Case - No Victim Is Ever Forgotten , Bobby Cannavale took on the recurring role of the undercover drug investigator Eddi Saccardo , who enters into a relationship with investigator Lilly Rush ( Kathryn Morris ). In September 2013, he received his second Emmy for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his role as Gyp Rosetti in Boardwalk Empire .
In addition to his television work, Cannavale is also an avid stage actor who regularly appears on stage in New York . He can also be seen again and again in Hollywood productions, such as u. a. in Station Agent by Tom McCarthy and Fast Food Nation by Richard Linklater .
From 1994 to 2003, Bobby Cannavale was married to Jenny Lumet , the daughter of Sidney Lumet and granddaughter of Lena Horne . From this marriage comes his son Jake Cannavale (* 1995), who is also an actor and was seen together with his father in the fourth season of the series Nurse Jackie . He has been dating the Australian actress Rose Byrne since 2012 . At the beginning of February 2016, their first child, a boy, was born.
