The series was invented by Aziz Ansari , who also plays the leading role, and Alan Yang . In February 2016, Ansari announced that Master of None had received a second season on Netflix, which was released on May 12, 2017.

Dev is 32 years old and tries to make his life as an Indian-born actor who has only shot commercials in New York City . The episodes show various aspects of interpersonal relationships, ranging from a failed date to an argument at a casting to a serious love affair.

Cast and dubbing

The series is set to music at Studio Hamburg Synchron . Thomas Maria Lehmann and Karin Rettinghaus wrote the dialogue books for the first season. Robert Kotulla , Ariane Huth and Katja Brügger have been writing the dubbing books since the second season. Sascha Draeger and Matthias Klimsa direct the dialogue .
