Michelle MacLaren
Michelle Maxwell MacLaren (born 1965 in Canada ) is a Canadian film and television producer and film and television director .
Life
MacLaren grew up in Vancouver , British Columbia and later attended Queen's University in Kingston , Ontario , where she graduated in 1986. She worked as a producer for several television films from 1992 and switched to the production of television series in 1999, where she has been an executive producer ever since . She has also been working as a director since 2002. She made a formative contribution to the series X-Files - The FBI's uncanny cases , where she directed one episode and worked as co-executive producer in 46 episodes and Breaking Bad , where she directed eleven episodes and co- directed 13 episodes -Executive Producer and worked as Executive Producer in 29 episodes. She also directed several episodes of The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones , and numerous other series in one episode each.
In November 2014, it was announced that MacLaren would make her directorial debut in a major cinema production in the film Wonder Woman, planned for 2017 . In April 2015, however, she left the project because of "creative differences".
Michelle MacLaren has received several awards for her work as a producer and director of television series, including two Emmys and two PGA Awards .
