Jonathan Banks (born January 31, 1947 in Washington, DC ) is an American actor .

Career

Banks starred alongside Eddie Murphy in the film Beverly Hills Cop (1984) , alongside Emilio Estevez , Rene Russo and Anthony Hopkins in the film Freejack (1992) , and in the film Dark Blue (2002) next to Kurt Russell . In a small supporting role he was u. a. seen in the movie Gremlins - Little Monsters .

Banks appeared in some television series such as Matlock , Highlander , Star Trek: Deep Space Nine , Dexter , Breaking Bad and its spin-off Better Call Saul . He was nominated for an Emmy for the role of Frank McPike in the television series Wiseguy (1987 to 1990) , as well as for his role as Mike Ehrmantraut in Breaking Bad 2013 and Better Call Saul 2015 .

Banks married three times, most recently in 1990, and has one daughter.
