Merritt Wever (* 1980 in New York City , New York ) is an American actress who was primarily active as a stage actress at the beginning of her career . She gained fame in German-speaking countries primarily through some of her film appearances and her roles in the two television series Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and Nurse Jackie .

life and career

Born in New York City in 1980 , Wever grew up in her hometown, more precisely in Downtown New York, actually Lower Manhattan , and attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School as a teenager , from which a large number of well-known people have already graduated. After Wever passed there, she went to Sarah Lawrence College in Yonkers . Wever, who was trained as an actress almost exclusively in New York, soon gained her first experience on Off-Broadway , where she took part in various productions.
