The girls organize a riot and demand a vote to merge schools. In the end, the girls prevail and the school remains an all-girls boarding school.

Reviews

  • Lexicon of the international film : “The film's " girlie power "attitude, dressed in a nostalgic garb, looks more artificial than original due to the uninspired direction. At the same time, the production lacks humor, which the young actors can only partially cover up. "
  • Cinema magazine : “The 'Strike!' Spectrum ranges from typical bum sex jokes to funny slapstick interludes to serious problems such as bulimia, with a feminist primer holding the whole thing together. The nostalgic flair - the story takes place in the 60s - and bright young stars like Kirsten Dunst (' Interview with a Vampire ') and Heather Matarazzo (' Willkommen im Tollhaus ') score more points of sympathy. The fact that the aesthetics are more reminiscent of a television game than a movie is not really bad. "
  • www.tvtv.de: “A cheerful girlie comedy and a not so serious gender battle in the colorful 60s. Director Sarah Kernochan ensures that both men and women get their fat in the film ... She did it similarly in ' 9 1/2 weeks ', for which she wrote the script. "
