Rachael Leigh Cook
Rachael Leigh Cook (born October 4, 1979 in Minneapolis , Minnesota ) is an American actress and model .
life and career
Cook was already working as a model at the age of ten and was featured in commercials and in an anti-drug campaign . She graduated from high school in 1998.
Her international breakthrough as an actress came with the film One like none at the side of Freddie Prinze junior . In a plot that is typical for teen films, she transforms from ugly duckling to desirable partner for the upcoming school prom.
In addition to feature films, she has made several guest roles in Dawson's Creek and Las Vegas . Also a role in the mystery series Outer Limits - The Unknown Dimension is one of her appearances.
She received particularly good reviews for her role in the episode film 11:14 , an experimental film by director Greg Marcks from 2003. She starred in the episode film alongside well-known actors such as Hilary Swank and Patrick Swayze .
While many critics always regard her as the dear girl from the neighborhood, especially in the aftermath of Eine like none , Rachael Leigh Cook tried to find roles that often had something covertly dark and did not settle for the role of the lovable " Victim ”. Examples of this are her roles in Startup or on the side of Sylvester Stallone in the remake of Get Carter .
In the music video of the song Dressed to kill by the American rock band New Found Glory , she played a small role as a girl from the neighborhood who turns a boy's head.
She has been married to actor Daniel Gillies since 2004 , with whom she has two children.
