Tim Van Patten
Timothy "Tim" Van Patten (born June 10, 1959 in Brooklyn , New York City ) is an American television director , actor , screenwriter and film producer .
Van Patten directed episodes of The Sopranos , The Wire , Deadwood , Boardwalk Empire , Rome , The Pacific , Game of Thrones , Ed - The Bowling Lawyer and Sex and the City . As an actor, he is best known for the role of salami in the US drama series The White Shadow . He also played the evil teenager Peter Stegman in The 1984 Class and Max Keller in the short-lived action series The Ninja Master .
Life
Van Patten was born in Brooklyn, New York City. He grew up in Massapequa , New York and attended the same high school as Jerry Seinfeld . Van Patten is the half-brother of actor Dick Van Patten and actress Joyce Van Patten , as well as the uncle of Vincent Van Patten and Talia Balsam , both also actors.
Career
Awards
In 2001, Van Patten won with Terence Winter , the Writers Guild of America Award and the Edgar Award for the Sopranos episode Pine Barrens (Lost in the snow) , directed by Steve Buscemi . In 2004, Van Patten directed the episode Long Term Parking (Only for long-term parking) which one Emmy for Best Writing in a Dramatic Series won.
