The 45th Vuelta al Táchira took place from January 13 to 24, 2010 in Venezuela . The bike race was held in twelve stages over a distance of 1490 kilometers. It was part of the UCI America Tour 2010 and was classified in category 2.2.

The overall winner of the stage race was the local José Rujano from Gobernación del Zulia with only three seconds ahead of his fellow Venezuelan José Alarcon ( Sumiglov Gobierno Mérida Santa Cruz Mora ), who also won the points classification and the combined classification. The podium was completed by Noel Vásquez ( Lotería Del Táchira ). For Rujano, who also won the mountain classification, it was already the third win of the Vuelta al Táchira in his career. Artur García was the first to complete the sprint classification.

At the start were teams from Colombia , Guatemala , Mexico , Italy and Venezuela , including a national team. A total of nineteen teams took part.
