Gil Cordovés

Gil Cordovés Pérez (born March 14, 1965 ) is a Cuban cyclist who also became a Venezuelan citizen in December 2008 .

Gil Cordovéz got his first successes in 2001 at the Vuelta a Venezuela , where he won five stages at the age of 36. In total, he was able to win 38 stages there in the next few years. He was also able to win occasional stages in the Vuelta a Costa Rica , the Tour of Colombia , the Volta do Rio de Janeiro , the Vuelta al Táchira and the Clásico Ciclístico Banfoandes . He also won a further 37 sections and four overall ratings in smaller races in Venezuela and the Dominican Republic.
