Tour do Rio

The Tour do Rio (also Volta do Rio de Janeiro , Volta de Campos or Volta Ciclística Internacional de Campos ) is a cycling race in Brazil . The small tour leads through the state of Rio de Janeiro in five stages . The goal of the race was either Rio de Janeiro or Campos dos Goytacazes . The race has been held irregularly since 2000. The first one was still a one-day race , but since 2002 the race has been a round trip. It has been part of the UCI America Tour since 2007 and is classified in category 2.1 .
