Matías Médici (born June 29, 1975 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine cyclist .
Matías Médici was Uruguayan champion in the 40 km individual time trial in 2001 and Uruguayan champion in the road time trial in 2002. In 2004 he won two stages at the Volta de Santa Catarina and was able to win the overall standings. A year later he won a section there again. In 2004 and 2005, standing in the ranks of the Club Ciclista Fénix team, he was also able to decide the overall ranking of the stage tour Rutas de América in his favor. In 2006 Médici won the Argentine championship title in the time trial and a stage at the Volta do Estado de São Paulo . Since 2007 he has been under contract with the Brazilian Continental Team Scott-Marcondes Cesar , for which he won a stage and the overall classification of the Volta do Rio de Janeiro . In 2012 he finished third in the ranks of the Porongos team at the Rutas de América, behind the winner Jorge Soto and the Uruguayan Alan Presa . On February 25, 2012, Médici tested positive for EPO during a doping control during the Rutas de América . He was then banned from the UCI for 2 years.
