Vuelta a la Independencia Nacional
The Vuelta a la Independencia Nacional (also: Vuelta de República Dominicana ) is a cycling race in the Dominican Republic . The small tour leads in nine stages through the region around the state capital Santo Domingo . The first event was 1979. The race has been in category 2.2 since 2008 and is part of the UCI America Tour . Only in 2013 was it held as a national race.
