Frank Augustin
Frank Augustin (born October 2, 1966 in Ludwigsfelde ) is a former German cyclist .
Athletic career
From 1980 he attended the children's and youth sports school in Frankfurt an der Oder. He started during his competitive sports career for the ASK Vorwärts Frankfurt an der Oder , in 1990 he was accepted into the sports promotion group of the German Armed Forces and in the early 1990s he switched to HRC Hanover . He made a name for himself with top placements in the Tour of Poland, Tour of Belgium and the Peace Tour . Augustin took part in the UCI road world championships in 1990 and 1991 (best placing in 1990 41st) in 1990 he became military runner-up in road racing , and as a three-time winner of the round around Berlin cycling race , he was one of the top of German cycling when he became active in 1996 Ended his career as a cyclist for professional reasons. He remained a member of the Frankfurter Radsport Club 90 eV until the end of his career

He works as a trainer for the young racing cyclists (U-23) in the LKT Team Brandenburg .
