Augusto Sánchez Beriguete (born December 19, 1983 in Barahona ) is a Dominican cyclist .

Athletic career

Augusto Sánchez won a stage in the Tour de la Martinique in 2004 . The following year he was successful on part of the Tour of Puerto Rico and was third overall. In the 2006 season he won a stage in the Vuelta a Cuba and in 2007 a stage in the Tour de la Guadeloupe . Also in 2007 he became national champion in the individual time trial for the first time and was able to repeat this success three times by 2014. In 2010 he won the overall ranking of the Vuelta a la Independencia Nacional . In 2011 he decided a stage for himself on this tour, in 2016 and 2017 he was part of the team that won the team time trial. In 2018 he became the Caribbean champion in the individual time trial.
