Noel Vásquez

Noel Armando Vásquez Mendoza (born October 19, 1976 ) is a Venezuelan cyclist .

Career

Noel Vásquez won two stages at the Vuelta al Táchira in 2000 and was able to win the overall standings. The next year he won a stage there and the overall standings and in 2002 he was successful on two sections. In the 2007 season Vásquez won a stage in the Clasico Pedro Infante and was also first in the overall standings. He also won the one-day race Juegos del Alba. In 2008 Vásquez again won a part of the Vuelta al Táchira and he was Venezuelan champion in road racing for the first time.

At the Vuelta a Guatemala , Vásquez tested positive for doping , banned for four years and fined.
