Michael Patrick King

Michael Patrick King (born September 14, 1954 in Scranton , Pennsylvania ) is an American screenwriter , television producer and director .

Life

He is known as a producer, screenwriter and occasional director of the television series Sex and the City .

He was awarded two Emmys for his work and has been nominated for this award several times. In 2008 his first feature film, for which he worked as a director (the feature film for the series Sex And The City ), was released. King also directed its sequel, Sex and the City 2 . With Whitney Cummings he is also the creator of the US comedy series 2 Broke Girls (2011-2017), in which he also occasionally directed and wrote screenplays.

The series AJ and the Queen , developed by him and RuPaul , has been broadcast since 2020 .

King is openly gay .
