Louis J. Horvitz

Louis J. Horvitz (born December 1, 1946 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American film producer and film director who has been awarded an Emmy seven times .

Career

Horvitz's career in the film business began as a cameraman for NBC . Horvitz began in 1973 as a director on the television series Rock Concert , in which he was responsible for 131 episodes and which he left in 1979. At the beginning of the 1980s he directed, among other things, television documentaries on behalf of the American Film Institute about various filmmakers, and since the 1990s he has also directed the People's Choice Awards, Daytime Emmy , Primetime Emmy , Academy Awards , Grammy Awards and the Golden Globe Awards responsible. For his artistic achievements, Horvitz received an Emmy seven times out of twenty nominations, as well as a DGA Award out of seventeen nominations, a CableACE Award out of four nominations and three Image Awards.

He has been married since April 6, 1996.
