On January 31, 2010, the 2010 Grammy Awards were presented at the Staples Center in Los Angeles . It was the 52nd award of the Grammy , the most important US music award. At the beginning of 2010, the musical achievements published between October 1, 2008 and August 31, 2009 were honored.

109 awards were given in 30 areas. The nominees were announced on December 2, 2009. Among the artists, the most successful by far was R&B singer Beyoncé , who won six Grammys, followed by country singer Taylor Swift with four awards. The Kings of Leon , the Black Eyed Peas , the rapper Jay-Z and the recording of Mahler symphonies of the San Francisco Symphony each won three awards .
