Silversun Pickups , SSPU for short , is an American indie rock band from Los Angeles , who are under contract with Dangerbird .

The band released their debut EP Pikul in July 2005 with the line-up Brian Aubert (vocals, guitar), Nikki Monninger (bass, vocals), Christopher Guanlao (drums) and Joe Lester (keyboard) . Carnava's first album followed in July 2006 It reached number 1 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart and number 80 on the American album charts.
