Fearless (English for. " Fearless ") is the second studio album of US singer Taylor Swift . It was released in the United States on November 11, 2008 on the Big Machine Records label. In Germany it was published on May 15, 2009. On October 26, 2009, a platinum edition of the album was also released.

Scott Borchetta was executive producer on the album . All songs were produced by music producer Nathan Chapman and Taylor Swift.
Cover design
The album cover of the US version shows Taylor Swift with her eyes closed and her head turned to one side as her hair swirls through the air. In the lower part of the picture are the lettering Taylor Swift in gold and Fearless in white. The background is also kept white. The Platinum Edition adorns the same motif, but here the background is black and the lettering is silver or white, with the addition of Platinum Edition . On the cover of the international version, Taylor Swift looks at the viewer and the background is gray. The white lettering Taylor Swift and Fearless are shown below in the picture.

The only guest appearance on the album comes from the singer Colbie Caillat , who can be heard in the song Breathe .

Chart successes and singles
Fearless entered the US album charts at number 1 on November 29, 2008 and stayed in the top 200 for a total of 256 weeks. In Germany, the album reached number 12 and stayed in the top 100 for twelve weeks.
Five songs from the album were released as singles , of which only the first Love Story entered the German charts and reached number 22. The other singles White Horse , You Belong with Me , Fifteen and Fearless all reached high positions in the US charts and were awarded at least one platinum record for more than a million copies sold. In addition, almost all of the songs on the album made it into the United States charts due to high individual downloads.

Fearless was awarded a diamond record for selling over ten million copies in the United States in 2017 , making it the singer's best-selling album in her home country. It also received a gold record in Germany and Austria and a double platinum record in the UK. With more than 3.2 million units sold, it was the most commercially successful album of 2009 in the USA. Worldwide sales amount to over 11.4 million, making it one of the most successful country albums in history.
The Grammy Awards 2010 was Fearless as Album of the Year award as well as Best Country Album. In addition, the song White Horse received the awards in the categories of Best Female Vocal Performance - Country and Best Country Song .
