Jonny Lang ; actually Jon Gordon Langseth, Jr. (* 29. January 1981 in Fargo , North Dakota ) is an American musician from the area of blues and blues rock . With his voice and his skills on the electric guitar , he attracted attention at a young age.
biography
Jonny Lang got his first guitar and guitar lessons at the age of 12 from Ted Larsen, guitarist of the group "Bad Medicine Blues Band". After a few months he became a member and front man of the "Bad Medicine Blues Band", which then called itself "Kid Jonny Lang & the Big Bang". When he released his first album in 1995, he was only 14 years old, but you couldn't tell from his voice or his guitar playing - at that point he sounded like many a 30-year-old blues musician. Already well known through his works in the blues scene, Lang got an appearance in the film Blues Brothers 2000 . He played there side by side with stars like BB King . In the following years he accompanied Aerosmith , The Rolling Stones , BB King and Blues Traveler on their tours and played in 1999 during an audience at the White House before President Clinton and his wife. At the age of 19, Jonny Lang was nominated for a Grammy for the album Wander This World .
Since June 8, 2001 he is married to Haylie Johnson (born January 29, 1980). She can be seen in the music video for his song Missing Your Love .
