Pleasure P (born December 7, 1984 in Miami , Florida ; real name Marcus Ramone Cooper ) is an American R&B singer .

Cooper was raised by his mother alone, and only when he was 25 did he meet his biological father. In his youth, music played a huge role, he wrote his own songs and sang in the high school choir. He became a father at the age of 19.

Shortly thereafter, he met the Pretty Ricky brothers trio , who were managed by their father. This then took him on as the singer of the band. Because of his pleasant voice he was nicknamed "Pleasure", abbreviated P., which eventually became Pleasure P. With Pretty Ricky he recorded two very successful albums that included several top 40 hits in the US and the UK. After the number one album Late Night Special 2007, however, the split followed and Pleasure P started a solo career.

At the end of 2008 his debut single Did You Wrong was released , which entered the Hot 100 and was quite successful in the R&B charts. The follow-up single Boyfriend # 2 , which ran as a forerunner to his debut album The Introduction of Marcus Cooper , also made it into the charts.

Marcus Cooper is also a co-owner of the Jean Addicts fashion label .
