Hometown Glory is the debut single of British singer Adele from her debut album 19 . The song was released as a single in the United Kingdom on October 22, 2007 . In 2008 the song was re-released as the fourth single on the album. Adele wrote the song in just ten minutes after her mother put her off the idea of ​​leaving her London borough of West Norwood .

Hometown Glory was first released on their record label Pacemaker Recordings . There the song was only released as a 7 "vinyl record, limited to 500 copies .
