Billy Joel

In 1997, Billy Joel recorded a cover version of the song for his album Greatest Hits Volume III , which was released before Dylan's Time Out of Mind in August. It was released as the first single and reached number 50 on the American Billboard Hot 100 .

Garth Brooks

The American country singer Garth Brooks covered the song under the title To Make You Feel My Love . It appeared on the 1998 soundtrack album for the film Hope Floats . This album also includes a cover version of Trisha Yearwood . On May 18, 1998, Brooks' version was released as a single; the version was nominated in 1999 for a Grammy in the categories of "Best Male Country Vocal Performance" and "Best Country Song" and the release reached number 1 on the American country charts .

Adele

In 2008 the British singer Adele covered the piece. Make You Feel My Love was released on October 27, 2008 as the fourth and final single of their number one debut album 19 .

After the song was sung on The X Factor in 2010 , Adele's version rose to number 4 on the UK charts on October 3, 2010. In Ireland , the version reached # 26 in 2008, # 5 in 2010 and # 7 after using the title in 2011 on Dancing on Ice . In 2011, Make You Feel My Love was awarded gold in the UK .
