Localization of Baden-Württemberg in Germany

The Hirschlanden transmitter was a medium wave transmitter for radio. It was located about two kilometers south of the Ditzingen district of Hirschlanden ( Baden-Württemberg ).

history

In 1963, the Stuttgart Postal Directorate had a 40-meter-high, braced steel truss mast with a square cross-section, insulated from the earth, erected to support the antenna. This was used until March 7, 2014 at 2:45 p.m. to broadcast the AFN program on the frequency 1143 kHz (owner is Deutsche Telekom AG). The cross-shaped roof capacity on the top was only installed in 2001 to electrically extend the transmission mast for the low frequency of the Megaradio transmitter. From January 16, 2002 to April 4, 2003, this mast also broadcast the Megaradio program on 738 kHz. From August 15, 2005 until the station was discontinued in 2008, the truck radio program was broadcast on this frequency via this mast. The transmitter mast was dismantled on September 15, 2015, and the transmitter building in mid-December 2015.
