Timothy Bruce Schmit (born October 30, 1947 in Oakland , California ) is an American musician, bassist and singer . He is a member of the country rock band Eagles and was previously bass player and singer in the band Poco .

Career

The singer and bassist, who grew up in Oakland, California , has been a member of the country rock band Eagles since 1977 . Before that he played with the folk rock group Poco since 1970 and is the author and singer of the hit Keep On Tryin´ US # 50. Because of his high falsetto voice, Schmit is one of the most sought-after background singers of top American bands, including Toto , Crosby, Stills and Nash , Steely Dan , Bob Seger , Dan Fogelberg , Elton John , Ringo Starr , Firefall , Richard Marx , Jars Of Clay and die Beach boys . Timothy B. Schmit is also active as a solo artist. Between 1984 and 2009 he released five albums and two singles, the a cappella title So Much In Love in 1982 , and Boys Night Out in 1987 . His last album to date is Leap of Faith from 2016.
