One of These Nights is the fourth studio album released in 1975 and, with 4 million records sold, the first number 1 album by the American rock band Eagles . The released singles One of These Nights , Lyin Eyes and Take It To The Limit reached places 1, 2 and 4 in the charts.

The title track became the band's second number 1 single; Lyin Eyes earned them their first Grammy . The album marked the Eagles' final breakthrough in the US and made them famous worldwide.

Douglas Adams chose the title Journey of the Sorcerer as the theme song for the 1978/1979 BBC production of his radio play The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy .
