Franz Xaver von Schönaich
Franz Xaver Freiherr von Schönaich (born February 27, 1844 in Vienna ; † January 26, 1916 there ) was an Austrian general of the infantry and 1906/11 Reich Minister of War .
Life
He was ennobled by the highest resolution on Ischl on August 12, 1908. Franz Schönaich was awarded his diploma in Vienna on October 1, 1908 as K. u. K. Feldzeugmeister and Reich Minister of War raised to the status of Austrian baron .
A relationship to the old Silesian noble family Schönaich is not known, in any case the coat of arms awarded in 1908 makes no reference to it.
Schönaich is buried in the Hietzinger Friedhof in Vienna.
