David Abrahamowicz

David Abrahamowicz also Dawid (von) Abrahamowicz (born June 30, 1839 in Torgovica , Austrian Empire ; died December 24, 1926 in Lemberg ) was a Polish politician in the Austro-Hungarian crown land of Galicia within Cisleithania . His brother was the comedy writer Adolf Abrahamowicz .

Life

Abrahamowicz was active in the economic and political life of Galicia from his youth. From 1875 he was a member of the Cisleitan Imperial Council . In the Imperial Council election in 1879 he was re-elected. There he represented the rural communities in Galicia: Lemberg, Grodek, Jawworow, etc. He was re-elected several times.

In 1906 he was the chairman of the Polish Club (parliamentary group of Polish MPs). Since 1906 he was a member of the manor house .

His political career peaked in the early 20th century. Under the government of Max Wladimir von Beck he became Minister for Galician Affairs. He held his office until March 3, 1909.
