Alexandra Patsavas
Alexandra Patsavas (* 1968 in Chicago , Illinois ) is a musical supervisor from the USA . She has worked on over sixty films and series, notably Grey's Anatomy and OC, California . She recently worked on the American series Gossip Girl .
Life
She had until high school before, policy study. However, she later developed a keen interest in music . Even then, her musical tastes ranged from rock music to opera .
She has worked on over sixty films and series, including Criminal Minds , Without a Trace , Chuck and Supernatural , but above all Grey's Anatomy , Private Practice , OC, California and the movie Twilight , which was released in German cinemas in 2009.
She also released soundtracks for some of these series, and six for OC, California.
Alexandra Patsavas often brings unlabeled bands and lesser known artists together with stars of the American scene (e.g. Lady Gaga ).
Since 2007 she has had the opportunity to sign artists with her own label, Chop Shop Records . According to her own statement, these should mainly be indie rock bands, which she often includes in the series she is working on.
Also in 2007 she was nominated for a Grammy in the category "Best Compilation Soundtrack Album for Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media" with the 2nd soundtrack of the series Grey's Anatomy .
Alexandra Patsavas is married.
