Stephen Marley (born April 20, 1972 ) is a Jamaican roots reggae musician.

life and career

Stephen is a son of Rita and Bob Marley . Together with his siblings Ziggy , Sharon and Cedella he forms the band Ziggy Marley & the Melody Makers , but also has a solo career. He performed at the worldwide " Live 8 " benefit concerts in Philadelphia alongside his mother Rita and the Black Eyed Peas . In March 2007 Stephen Marley, who played a crucial role in the production of the albums of his half-brother Damian Marley , released his first solo album "Mind Control", which consists of a mixture of roots reggae and modern ragga.

A total of eight Grammy awards as producer and musician rewarded Stephen Marley's musical career, including in the category Best Reggae Album for his 2007 album "Mind Control", in 2009 for the album "Mind Control - Acoustic" and in 2012 for the album " Revelation Part 1: The Root of Life ".

In July 2008 he toured Europe for the first time with his solo album. He also appeared in Germany at the Summerjam in Cologne. He also played in Hamburg and Berlin. He also opened some Alicia Keys shows in Paris, London and Manchester. The ten-day tour ended with an appearance at the Frauenfeld Openair in Switzerland on July 13, 2008.
