Sugarland
Sugarland is an American new country duo from Atlanta .
Band history
Sugarland was founded in 2003 by Kristen Hall, Jennifer Nettles, and Kristian Bush; Hall left the band in 2006. The group is also successful outside of the country charts in the USA. So they played live shows with Beyoncé , Lady Gaga and Bon Jovi, among others . The Bon Jovi hit Who Says You Can't Go Home was also released in the USA in a version as a duet by Jon Bon Jovi and Jennifer Nettles.
With their debut album, Twice the Speed of Life , Sugarland reached number 16 on the Billboard Top 200 in 2004, and their second album, Enjoy the Ride , earned them number 4 two years later. In 2008, only as a duo, they made it to the top of the US album charts with Love on the Inside . A year later they were able to repeat the same thing with the live version of the album Live on the Inside .
In 2009 Sugarland won Grammys for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group ( Stay ) and Best Country Song ( Stay ) .
On August 13, 2011, shortly before a performance by Sugarland at the Indiana State Fair in Indianapolis, the stage structure collapsed due to a storm. Seven people were killed and 43 injured.
