In 2010 Trucks and Tedeschi decided to found a band together. After a successful tour and appearances a. a. At Eric Clapton's "Crossroads 2010" festival, the Tedeschi Trucks Band's album Revelator was released in 2011 . Style & equipment
Trucks' style is mainly influenced by blues and slide guitarists like Duane Allman and Elmore James . He completely dispenses with a pick . Trucks mainly plays the classic blues scale in his solos, but often with classic Indian influences. Indian raga elements can be heard in most of his guitar solos .
The guitar used is mainly a Gibson SG Standard 1962 Reissue, which is signed by numerous musicians such as BB King , Bob Dylan or John Lee Hooker . He always uses the same 1965 Fender Super Reverb Amp that Pyle Driver Speakers are built into. Overall, Derek Trucks keeps his equipment very puristic.

Press reviews
“You can hear from the very first second that this man, with his now just 26 years, has already had countless live gigs behind him. He plays his instrument at a level that, as a complete layman, I just can't get enough of it. "
"On their new album, the Derek Trucks Band experiments with well-known set pieces from jazz, blues and reggae, but also from Indian, Pakistani and African music, which are linked to a complex musical geography by guitar miracle trucks."
