eclipsed is a monthly music magazine from Aschaffenburg . Originally founded as Pink-Floyd - Fanzine and in stores across Germany since 2000, the magazine now focuses on the areas of art rock , progressive rock , psychedelic rock , classic rock and hard rock , but also covers other genres such as blues , jazz and electronic music . The 150th edition of eclipsed was published in May 2013 .

The eclipsed editions are a good 100 pages. After news, letters to the editor , short band introductions and interviews, a particular topic is given in detail on a musician, a band, a historically significant album, the development of a genre or a ranking (e.g. the best longtracks, the best debut albums ). Occasionally there are also focal points spread over several issues; For example, from May 2011 to September 2012 there was a 13-part special on the history of progressive rock, and from September 2014 to August 2015 there was a series on music photography .
More than a third of every issue consists of reviews of CDs, records, DVDs and books, both new releases and classics and re-releases . In the so-called "shopping list", all publications of an artist are presented and rated in brief reviews. The magazine also comes with alternating promotional samplers from two series ( The Art of Sysyphus and Music from Time and Space ). The CDs of the second series are only delivered to subscribers ; they contain i. d. R. Pieces from rather unknown bands from smaller labels .

Sysyphus, the publisher of eclipsed , also organizes smaller music festivals in Aschaffenburg and supports or presents other concert events. Selected CDs, mostly reviewed in the magazine, are distributed via the magazine and the homepage. In 2013 the eclipsed editorial team published a large-format book entitled Rock , in which the complete works of 20 important bands and musicians are analyzed and rated. The second volume followed in November 2014, the third in October 2016.
