Brian d'Arcy James

Brian d'Arcy James (born June 29, 1968 in Saginaw , Michigan ) is an American actor and musician .

Life

James' mother was a children's book seller and his father, Thomas F. James, was a lawyer. His maternal grandfather was Harry Kelly , a former governor of the State of Michigan . His uncle Brian Kelly was also an actor, he played in the television series Flipper , among others . He has a daughter with his wife, Jennifer Prescott .

Brian d'Arcy James graduated from Northwestern University . He played in dozens of Broadway plays . As a member of the ensemble, he won numerous awards for the film Spotlight , including the Screen Actors Guild Award and the Independent Spirit Award .
