In 1978, the New York neighborhood of Hell's Kitchen is controlled by an Irish mafia. When three gangsters named Rob, Kevin and Jimmy are arrested by the FBI one day , their three wives (Kathy, Ruby, Claire) are left alone in the neighborhood to take the mafia into their own hands and protect their children. This includes brawls, murders and unscrupulous crowding out of the competition. They do everything to protect their children and the neighborhood.

The film was poorly received by North American film reviews. So far Rotten Tomatoes has only had 23 percent positive reviews, with the critics, the film was able to achieve a significantly better result with the “normal” audience, where 69 percent liked it positively.

With a production budget of 38 million US dollars, the film only grossed around 15.98 million US dollars in cinemas around the world, of which 12.18 million US dollars were in North America.
