Maryse Alberti

Maryse F. Alberti (born March 10, 1954 in Langon, France ) is a French camerawoman .

Life

Maryse Alberti came to New York City as an au pair at the age of 19 . A short time later she began to train as a photographer. She had her first experience in the film business as a still photographer working on porn films . She later made commercials and studied at the American Film Institute . With that of Raúl Ruiz staged The Golden Boat Alberti 1990 debuted as a cinematographer for a feature film. She has been nominated three times for the Independent Spirit Award , receiving awards for Best Camera in 1999 and 2009 for her work on Velvet Goldmine and The Wrestler - Glory, Love, Pain . One focus of her work is on documentaries .
