Paul McCreesh
Paul McCreesh (born May 24, 1960 in London ) is a British conductor .
Life
McCreesh was born in London in 1960. Initially a cellist , he soon became involved in musicology and graduated as a MusB in 1981 from the University of Manchester . In 1982 he founded the Gabrieli Consort & Players ensemble , which soon made a name for itself in the field of historical performance practice, especially with Renaissance music. In addition, McCreesh conducts other orchestras, including the German Symphony Orchestra Berlin , Zurich Chamber Orchestra , Ensemble Orchestral de Paris, Detroit Symphony , Minnesota Orchestra , Gothenburg Symphony , Orquesta Sinfónica de Euskadi , Stockholm Philharmonic and Beethoven Orchester Bonn , Netherlands Philharmonic and Orchestra dell 'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia , appeared.
