Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia
The Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia , also Orchestra Stabile dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia or formerly Orchestra di Teatro Augusteo , is one of the most famous symphony orchestras in Italy , based in Rome .
The orchestra was founded in 1908 by the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia . The Teatro Augusteo in Rome was the home and venue of this orchestra from its foundation in 1908 to 1936. In 2002 the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia and its orchestra moved into the Auditorium Parco della Musica , a representative new building designed by the architect Renzo Piano .
