Patton Peter Oswalt (born January 27, 1969 in Portsmouth , Virginia ) is an American comedian and actor .

Career

Outside the United States , Oswalt was best known for playing Spence Olchin on the US sitcom King of Queens . He also worked in films such as Starsky & Hutch and Magnolia and was seen in Blade: Trinity . He also had a small appearance in the film The Moon Man , which tells the life of the entertainer Andy Kaufman . In an episode of the cartoon series Cosmo & Wanda - When Elves Help , he made a small appearance as the author of the "Chin Crimson" comics. Oswalt mainly works as a writer for MADtv . In Germany it is mostly dubbed by Jens Wawrczeck .

In the film seduced to undress , Oswalt had a brief appearance as a perpetual single with a penchant for fantasy ( The Warriors of Green ), who temporarily still lives with his mother - similar to the role in King of Queens . Oswalt was married to crime writer Michelle McNamara , who died on April 22, 2016. The marriage has a daughter. In November 2017 he married the actress Meredith Salenger .
