Meredith Salenger
Meredith Dawn Salenger (born March 14, 1970 in Malibu , California ) is an American actress .
Life and accomplishments
Salenger took acting classes as a child and appeared in television commercials. She made her debut in the 1985 adventure film The Adventures of Natty Gann , in which she played the title role. For this role she won the Young Artist Award in 1986 . In the film drama Jimmy Reardon (1988) she played the role of the friend of the protagonist played by River Phoenix and was nominated for the Young Artist Award in 1989. She was nominated for the Saturn Award in 1990 for her role in the horror film The Kiss (1988), in which she appeared alongside Joanna Pacuła and Mimi Kuzyk .
Salenger studied psychology at Harvard University from 1988 to 1992 and graduated with honors. Her roles after graduation include those in the action film Murderous Doppelspiel (1998), in which she played alongside Charlie Sheen and Martin Sheen .
She has been married to comedian and actor Patton Oswalt since November 2017 .
