Flight 93 - September 11th is a US television film from 2006 about the hijacking of United Airlines Flight 93 in connection with the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 .

On September 11, 2001 at 8:42 am, a United Airlines plane took off from Newark for San Francisco . Four kidnappers tie red scarves around their foreheads and take control of the machine in the course of the flight. One of the young men ties an explosive belt on and threatens the passengers. The captain and copilot are stabbed; from now on one of the assassins controls the plane. They are suicide bombers who want to crash the machine. The likely destination is the White House or Capitol in Washington, DC
Some passengers, who are desperate to call their relatives, learn of the suicide bombings in New York : At 8:46 a.m., a plane crashed into the north tower of the World Trade Center , and at 9:03 a.m. a second crashed into the south tower. A third machine crashes into the Pentagon . The passengers decide to oppose the kidnappers. They manage to storm the cockpit and overwhelm the kidnappers. But they can no longer intercept the aircraft in time; it crashes over a wooded area. Nobody survived the accident.
