Dominic Rains

Dominic Rains ( Persian دومنیک رینس; * March 8, 1982 in Tehran as Amin Nazemzadeh ) is an Iranian - American actor .

life and career

Dominic Rains was born in the Iranian capital Tehran. Due to the violence of the First Gulf War , which killed Rain's uncle, his parents fled with him and his younger brother, Iman, first to London, where they lived for six years, before moving to Dallas , Texas . He and his brother have been interested in acting since childhood, which is why they were on stage at school and at the theater from an early age. After arriving in the United States, they took acting classes. Rain's first appearances on camera were mostly commercials. After graduating from high school, he decided to quit acting and instead began studying biology at the University of Dallas . After three years he switched to criminology. He turned back to acting after being cast in a supporting role in the short-lived drama series LAX , which resulted in a move to the west coast of Los Angeles. He appeared in the series from 2004 to 2005. In 2006, he portrayed Ziad Jarrah , who was involved in the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 , in the television film Flight 93 . Since 2007 he has been listed under his stage name Dominic Rains. His brother Iman appears as an actor under the name Ethan Rains.

After the series was canceled, Rains was cast on the series E-Ring - Military Minds , Dating Alex, and Navy CIS . In 2007 he was in the Soap General Hospital in the role of Dr. Leo Julian occupied. He played the role until 2008 and appeared in it in the branch General Hospital: Night Shift . Also in 2007, he appeared in the only produced season of the series Cane as Tal . In 2010, Rains was cast in the role of Jehangir Tabari in The Taqwacores . For his portrayal in the film, he was awarded for Best Actor at the Ourense Independent Film Festival . In the series FlashForward he appeared in the first season as Kahmir DeJean . After appearances in Burn Notice , Single Ladies and Anger Management , he appeared in the 2014 Marvel film The Return of the First Avenger in the role of a CIA agent. That same year he appeared as Saeed in the vampire film A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night by director Ana Lily Amirpour , which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival .

In 2016, Rains appeared on the side of James Franco and Melissa Leo in the film Burn Country . He was also seen in the series Legends and Powers . From 2017 to 2018 he was seen in the fifth season of the series Marvels Agents of SHIELD in the antagonist role Kasius . In 2018 he appeared in the role of Andric in the science fiction film AXL . Since 2019 he has been a Dr. Crockett Marcel on the main cast of the Chicago Med series . He also appeared in the role on the Chicago PD and Chicago Fire series . In 2020 Rains was seen as Lucas in the series Tales from the Loop .
